'Sunshine'

I don't want summer to come to an end. I will miss the beautiful flowers.

Quote of the day: "What a delight it is when, of morning, I get up and go out to find in full bloom a flower that yesterday was not there." Tachibana Akemi - 1812-1868 - Japanese poet

'Wild Flowers of Late Summer'

While vacationing I noticed some wild flowers here and there. I thought I would paint an abstract view of these pretty, tall, pink ones.

'Wildflowers in Pitcher on Quilted Tablecloth'

We arrived home from vacation today. It was wonderful! The weather was great and we all had fun! I am posting my painting for the day along with a few photos I took of our wonderful getaway. Since August is the daily painters tribute to our beautiful earth month, I snapped some nature photos that I plan on painting later on.

'Punk Girl'

We leave for vacation tomorrow so I have been running around all day and evening getting things done. I didn't have time to paint tonight, so I am posting one of my mixed media collages I am very fond of. This is one of a series of abstract 'people' creations.

'Blue Room'

This is my favorite of my 'Room' series so far. I really enjoy these creations. I'm thinking of painting every room in the house and framing them all together. We'll see.

'Goodbye to the Sea'

The end of vacation is always hard, especially when saying goodbye to the beautiful, blue ocean.

Quote of the day: "There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, there is a rapture on the lonely shore, there is society, where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar. I love not Man the less, but Nature more." Lord Byron, 1788-1824 - English poet
